The pretty village of Blisland sits on the western edge of beautiful Bodmin Moor.
Though just five minutes from the A30, a stroll through Blisland feels like a step back in time, making it the perfect spot to break a long journey.
Of particular note is the beautiful Grade I Listed, Norman church, of St Protus & St Hyacinth. Such is its impact that former poet laureate, Sir John Betjeman said of it “Of all the country churches of the west that I have seen, I think the church of St Protus and St Hyacinth in Blisland, is the most beautiful”
The church features a charachterful 15th Century barrel-vaulted roof and stunning alter triptych painted in 1565. The churchyard contains two listed monuments, and every springtime plays host to a truly spectacular display of primroses.
